Christian Skaanild

Christian Skaanild joined Bordier & Cie in April 2020 as a Managing Partner. Founded in 1844 and today in the hands of the 5th generation of the Bordier family, Bordier & Cie is a Geneva headquartered international Swiss private banking group with operations in Geneva, Zurich, Singapore, London, Paris and Montevideo. Mr. Skaanild is one of three Managing Partners bearing unlimited personal liability and the only non-family member to occupy this position.

Prior to Bordier & Cie Mr. Skaanild spent 18 years with Capital Group, a Los Angeles headquartered leading global asset management firm with over $2 trillion in AUM. Mr. Skaanild joined Capital Group in the private equity team in 2001 and worked for the fund in London, Tokyo, Singapore and Geneva. He was promoted to Partner in 2011. Mr. Skaanild was the lead Partner responsible for the fund’s control investment in telecom tower company Eaton Towers (which was sold at the end of 2019 to American Tower for nearly $2 billion).

Before joining Capital Group, Mr. Skaanild was an associate Antfactory Venture Capital in London and Tokyo, having started his career in strategy consulting at Accenture in London. He holds a BA (honors) in Industrial Economic from the School of Management and Finance at the University of Nottingham. Mr. Skaanild was grew up and was educated in Asia (Indonesia and Singapore).
